Travel Coach Job Description

Our coaching positions are for youth soccer players. Coaches will be assigned a group of youngsters to fulfill 4 main roles; motivate, focus, develop, execute.

Send your resume to: brit.volini@hfsoccerclub.org

Motivate:

These are kids. They are going to be motivated by an engaging, enthusiastic and positive leader. At Homewood Flossmoor Soccer Club (HFSC) we expect your approach to be tough but constructive, have high expectations but be fair, be their coach but also their mentor and leader.

Focus:

Build your team philosophy and goals. Get your team to buy into those goals and work collectively to achieve them. Having focus gives your team something to work towards. These goals can be tangible or intangible.

Develop:

We are new to travel soccer. To HFSC success means that ALL kids improve and come back to us next season. Winning, at this stage in our program, is NOT a priority. The priority is to develop EVERY player on your team, from the bottom up. You need to have a strategy to make this happen. All players should experience all parts of the game and by the end of the season know what is expected during game play.

Execute:

Put your plan into motion. We understand this can take more than half a season to get the players working cohesively and to see hard work come to fruition. Create a strategy and plan and put it into motion.
